Renewing My Run: Finding Strength, Breath, and Joy

This article explores the journey of rediscovering the joy of running and its transformative impact on both physical and emotional well-being. As I reflect on the days of running the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia, I describe how my daily routine symbolized resilience and my ability to overcome life’s challenges. Years later, my approach to running has shifted, focusing on mindful breathing, relaxation, and the benefits of a nutritious diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables. This renewed perspective has reinvigorated my passion for running, sparking aspirations to put more miles on my running shoes and perhaps tackle a half marathon once again.
